Wellness Branding Photography for Oleum Aesthetics | Boise & Meridian Branding Photographer

I recently photographed a branding session for Oleum Aesthetics, a Meridian-based aesthetic and wellness business founded by Janessa, a driven female business owner building a distinct niche in holistic aesthetics and wellness.
As a Boise branding photographer, I work with brands, wellness providers, and entrepreneurs in the Treasure Valley that understand their visuals must reflect not just what they offer, but how they make people feel. Oleum Aesthetics is a hybrid wellness brand—part skincare boutique, part restorative experience—serving clients who value ritual, sensory well-being, and mind-body health. This wellness branding photography session was designed to visually communicate that philosophy across every platform.

We scheduled a two-and-a-half-hour branding photoshoot, split between Janessa’s Meridian office at Dapper Koy and Boise Urban Studio in downtown Boise. The first half of the session took place in her office, and the environment immediately set the tone.
Janessa’s attention to detail is exceptional. Her space is clean, elevated, and intentionally designed to support calm and healing. From the light to the textures, every element contributes to a grounded, restorative experience. As a branding photographer, I see many treatment spaces, and this one stood out for how thoughtfully it supports client well-being.
Her drive to create a healing environment goes far beyond aesthetics, and my goal was to translate that experience visually.

We collaborated closely to design a shoot that would support Janessa’s business growth this year. While she had a library of refined product imagery, the primary focus in our collaboration was personal branding. People connect with people. As a headshot and branding photographer in Boise, I know how important it is for clients to connect with the owner behind the brand. Trust is built visually long before someone books. I wanted to capture Janessa in her element—showing both her expertise and the real impact she has on her clients’ lives.

For the in-office portion of the shoot, we worked with Sote_Hair as a model client. Janessa performed plasma treatments, collagen restoration facials, red light therapy, sound bath treatments, and facial mask applications. Documenting real services allowed us to create authentic, story-driven action imagery that reflects the elevated nature of her work.
While treatments were underway, I moved throughout the space capturing refined angles, close-ups, wide shots, and detail shots that highlight the experience. These images work especially well as backgrounds for social posts, educational content, and website design.

Janessa was intentional about how she wanted to use her branding images across her business.
For social media, we created a versatile mix of behind-the-scenes treatment photos, calm lifestyle portraits, and elevated detail shots. I captured a mix of horizontals and verticals. These allow for a varied use. Additionally, I always love to capture shots with negative space. This allows for great integration on socials as the negative space allows text and information to be placed around the subject. This is a strategic shot in the marketing toolbox. A branding shoot is not a portrait shoot, but a toolbox of images to use and repurpose. Clients shouldn’t have to do the grunt work to make things work. This allows her to show up consistently online while maintaining a high-end, wellness-forward aesthetic

For her website, we focused on hero portraits, in-treatment imagery, and environmental shots that immediately communicate trust and professionalism. These images help potential clients understand who Janessa is, how she works, and what kind of experience Oleum Aesthetics provides.
We also captured personal-use imagery to support future needs such as press features, collaborations, speaking opportunities, and partnerships. Building this image library now ensures she’s prepared for growth—an essential part of working with an elevated Boise branding photographer.
Janessa was also capturing b-roll content during the shoot, and I supported her by helping frame and shoot when needed. I always aim to add value beyond the shot list. As a growing small business photographer, I know how impactful it is to receive more than expected.
For the second half of the session, we met at Boise Urban Studio to capture clean, elevated portraits. We focused on hero headshots, warm and relaxed portraits, organic close-ups, and refined editorial-style images designed to help Janessa build authority and confidence across her brand.
These portraits position her not just as a service provider, but as a leader—something every wellness branding photographer strives to communicate.

With Janessa’s daughter present during the shoot, I also offered to capture a few images of the two of them together. I don’t know when the last time they had an intentional, high-quality photo taken together was—but moments like that matter.
Those images weren’t about marketing. They were about preserving a meaningful connection and adding value beyond the scope of the session.
I also had a spare point-and-shoot camera and invited her daughter to join me in photographing the day. She jumped right in, and I delivered all of her images alongside Janessa’s final gallery.

Although my standard turnaround time is three weeks, I delivered the gallery in just two. Exceeding expectations is always my goal.
This branding session reflected everything Oleum Aesthetics stands for: clean, elevated, and deeply intentional. Janessa offers services that go beyond cosmetic results, incorporating a holistic and neuro-restorative approach that sets her apart. She’s a leader in aesthetics in the Treasure Valley, and I’m honored she chose me, Boise Branding Photographer to capture this chapter of her business.
